QCA Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative
Quick Corporate Australia (QCA) is an Australian owned and operated business with offices nationwide. We have developed strong relationships with our supply chain whilst providing excellent customer service and a culture of corporate social responsibility has evolved.
QCA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment is evident from the supply chain through to offering customers a range of products that helps to support environmental and social initiatives.
Kulbardi Entrepreneurship Program (KEP)
QCA supports Indigenous Australians through our range of Indigenous branded products that provide part proceeds to the Kulbardi Fund, established to design, fund and leverage community programs that have long-term outcomes. The fund supports sustainable programs that have an impact in the Aboriginal community such as the Kulbardi Entrepreneurs Programme (KEP) which is a practical, empowering 10-day program for Aboriginal men and women to learn about enterprise creation and pathways. The winner of the program receives an injection of capital and pro bono support to transition their business idea into reality.
The program will run on an ongoing basis across Australia. The winner of KEP 2017 is Naydeene Edwards whose business idea “Are You House Ready?” offers workshops and a consultancy service to transition people from homelessness to home ownership.
In 2016, Quick Corporate Australia (QCA) launched a range of Indigenous branded products featuring Bibbulmun, an Australian made copy paper, notebooks and writing pads. The Bibbulmun range includes essential office supplies and choosing this brand helps to make a difference through the Kulbardi Fund.
QCA - a better way!
We collaborate with and champion organisations that demonstrate that doing good is good for business and the wider community.
A great example is the Yoobi product range. It was launched in December 2015 in Australia and is based on a bright, yet simple idea: colourful, vibrant supplies for school, home or office that GIVE BACK. For every Yoobi item that is purchased, a Yoobi item is donated to a child in need, right here in Australia. A key goal for the Yoobi team is to one day provide free school supplies to all children that need them.
Choosing Yoobi products from QCA will help achieve that goal!
Who Gives A Crap
Another brand that we endorse is Who Gives a Crap, an innovative organisation formed in 2012 through a crowdfunding campaign.
The business idea was borne through the knowledge that 2.4 billion people across the world don’t have access to a toilet. That’s roughly 40% of the global population and means that patients with diarrhoea related diseases occupy over half of sub-Saharan African hospital beds and kill 900 children under 5 years old every day. In fact, one of the company’s co-founders, Simon Griffiths, sat on a toilet in their warehouse and refused to move until they had raised enough pre-orders to start production. 50 hours and one cold bottom later, they had raised over $50,000. This brand makes a difference – the company donate 50% of their profits to help build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world.
Choosing Who Gives a Crap products from QCA can make a significant difference.
QCA's Environmental Commitment
Quick Corporate Australia (QCA), is passionate about providing a quality service in a manner that minimises our potential impact on the environment including reducing our carbon emissions, waste reduction and managing environmental initiatives nationally.
We collaborate with our supply chain, employees and customers to work together to achieve this commitment. Our staff contribute through different initiatives, such as using recycled paper and recycling waste paper in all offices nationwide. In our warehouses, cartons delivered by suppliers are re-used and the shrink wrap from pallets is recycled. Our delivery vans are carefully selected to minimise toxic emissions produced.
We encourage our suppliers to minimise packaging and support their environmental initiatives to reduce waste and carbon footprint where possible. For example, by purchasing 2,034 tonnes of Australian made paper from a preferred supplier in 2016, it resulted in 3,308 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions saved and up to 112 tonnes of local landfill saved with the use of recycled paper made with waste paper.
QCA's customers are encouraged to recycle used toners through Planet Ark's program. Our customers benefit from a choice of purchasing from the sustainable range. The sustainable range includes products that are environment-friendly, made of recycled material, are recyclable after use or those whose purchase helps the wider community.
